Two Worlds: A Love Story

It's been a while since I've posted a blog, and now that I'm getting started on my new feature-film project, "Two Worlds: A Love Story", I think this would be the best time to bring this blog back to life. I recently finished editing the screenplay that I've been working on for quite some time. I put a lot time and effort into the script, not to mention the numerous revisions it had to go through before I was ready to give the project the green light.

Now, I feel that the script is ready to go into the next stages of film-making - Pre-Production. I'm currently putting together a cast and crew, and at the same, trying to raise funds for the film. Our official website is currently under way, and I'll post a link to it very soon.

Producers for Film Convention Wanted

Hello to all Producers,

Wanna be part of a film project? Then listen up. We are looking for aspiring producers for a Film Convention, so this article may interest many of you.

My colleagues and I are planning a filmmakers/screenwriters convention in San Diego, California later this month or early next month (if the event is a success, we'll consider other cities as well). We are currently looking into booking a room (such as a banquet hall) for the event.

Here's what we're planning. Aspiring writers and producers will be invited to the event. Producers who come to the event will be asked to listen to a 3-5 minute pitch from screenwriters until they find something they like. Once the producer finds a match, the writer and producer will work with us to get the project started (we'll help you guys throughout the whole process: getting film crew, actors, equipment, funding, etc). I will post up more information once everything is official and finalized. Food and beverages will be provided.

With that said, I wanted to know how many of you aspiring producers are interested in being part of the event to find a project(s) to work on.

ACTORS: Are you an aspiring actor/actress trying to make it in showbiz? All you have to do is send us your resume, and we'll do the rest. With your resume in our database, we'll match you up to the projects that best suite you. In addition, you can audition for any project you want whenever we hold auditions. Audition notices will be posted on our blog on a continuous basis, so keep an eye out for that.

FILMMAKERS: Are you an aspiring director, producer, cinematographer/director of photography, editor, sound/light operator, music composer, camera operator, gaffer/best boy, storyboard artist and/or anything else involved in the filmmaking making process? You can send in your resumes for an opportunity to work behind the scenes on one of our upcoming projects.

In all three cases, you've got nothing to lose, but a lot to gain.

Get Your Script Sold

I've been receiving a lot of emails from aspiring writers who are eager to submit their work and get started, so I will go ahead and update my blog.

If you are writing or have written a script(s) and want to get it sold, then listen up. Now's your chance to get your name out. Our company is currently accepting work from aspiring new writers on a continuous basis. There is no deadline, but it is to your benefit to send your scripts in early. And there is no limit on how many scripts you can submit. I'd also like to see a synopsis to help us in your evaluation. If you prefer not to send your scripts, you can simply send us a query letter and synopsis without the script.

We'd prefer the script and synopsis so that we can save ourselves an extra step.

Once you submit your work, at least one of us from the company will read it and get back to you. If we like your script, we'll go from there. If we like your query/synopsis, we'll ask for your script.

Start of a New Production Company

If this is your first time visiting this blog site, please take a moment to read my first blog so that we are all on the same page.

Now before I go into the topics that I mentioned in my last blog, I wanted to take a moment to tell you guys why I created an independent production company. I bet a lot of you who are reading this are wondering how you can make it big in the film industry or how you can break into Hollywood. Don't worry. I was like that too. Until I decided to do something about it. I realized that if you want something done, you have to something about it yourself. And since I had a lot of support, I did just that by starting a production company.

The point of the production company is to help the aspiring actors, filmmakers, and writers successfully pursue their dreams. It is our way of providing our resources to everyone else. We'll teach you what we know, and we'll guide you every step of the way. We'll put together the pieces you'll need to make a successful film.

No one will charge you to submit your scripts and/or resumes so you have nothing to lose.

Already existing and popular production companies have so many submissions in a year, you're likely to get your script and/or resume lost in a pile of others. Unless of course, you're one of the few lucky ones who get noticed.

Breaking Into Hollywood

Recruit crew members
Give writers the opportunity to submit their work for consideration
We'll even fund the film projects
We'll help produce and provide equipment for production
And to top it all off, you'll NEVER be charged a dime
And to make things more interesting, we'll be giving away cash and prizes every week so be ready for our first cash prize giveaway

We're even starting a youtube channel to give you guys a behind-the-scenes look at what we do when the cameras aren't rolling.

Being an independent company, we'll specialize in producing low-budget films. And since we're a new group, you DO NOT have to worry about your scripts or resumes being buried in a pile of thousands of other scripts and resumes.

As a start, our company has two low-budget, feature-film projects pending for production. We'll post up more information soon, and we'll be looking for cast and crew members so be ready for that.
